Write notes into markers or whole clips in a Pro Tools session, and collaborate with remote access to make project review smoother and faster.
One-click note creation from your timeline selection. No more switching and scrolling between tracks.
5 color-coded pages with 20 connection slots each. Each slot connects to a track. Organize your workflow your way.
Session-aware settings that persist. Marker validates connections and remembers your preferences.
Connect once, create endlessly. 20 smart connection slots link directly to your Pro Tools tracks. Switch between 5 independent pages for different workflow contexts. Each page remembers its own set of connections, so you can organize by project phase, client, or any system that works for you.
Need a slot to behave differently? Enter edit mode with ⌘E and give any slot its own custom note text or destination type — clip, marker, or both — without touching your global defaults.
Marker knows your session. Auto-detects when Pro Tools opens, validates all track connections, and saves settings per-session automatically. Works seamlessly with nested folders in Pro Tools 2024.10 and later. Your workflow stays organized, session after session.
Power user mode built-in. Access all 20 connection slots via keyboard shortcuts. Store up to 300 favorite phrases and recall the top 10 with a single keystroke. The visual overlay shows you every shortcut at a glance.
Turn on AT PLAYHEAD and Marker stops looking at your timeline selection — notes are created at the current playhead position while the session is running, so you can keep playback going and drop notes on the fly.
Pair it with Anchor to Typing and the playhead position is locked the moment you start writing, not the moment you press send. The timecode you cared about stays put even if it takes a few seconds to finish typing. Press ESC to release the anchor and try again.
Every note Marker sends to Pro Tools is recorded in the Notes Log: text, destination track, type, timecode, and delivery status. If note creation fails, retry it from the log. You always know what made it in and what didn't.
Run Marker on the room machine and drive it from a phone, tablet, or laptop on the same network. Each Configuration is a named role with its own permissions, so you can give your colleagues the ability to write notes on the same session, assigning the tracks each role can reach. Share a Configuration with a QR code or URL and your team is in.
One-time purchase. All future updates included.
Marker is a standalone macOS app, not a plugin. It runs alongside Pro Tools and connects to it via Pro Tools Scripting, so you can write notes into markers and clips without switching windows.
Run Marker on the room machine and drive it from a phone, tablet, or laptop on the same local network. It is a same-room, device-to-device connection, not a remote-access tool over the internet.
No dongle required. Marker uses iLok machine activation, so you just need a free PACE iLok account. Activate directly on your computer.
Yes. A fully functional 15-day trial is available so you can test Marker in your own sessions before purchasing. Download it from the Downloads page to get started.
Marker requires Pro Tools 2024.6 or later. Support for nested track folders requires Pro Tools 2024.10 or later.
